This time! (2011 was the 'dry' run)

I had four months sober (with one hiccup) in 2011, and showed myself what I could do... then two and a half years of up-and-down drinking (most evenings).

I thought I was humble back then, and I hope I'm moreso now - day 19, and I've enlisted the help of family, colleagues at work, old friends, a therapist, anti-depressants. I'm working to become 'present' and attentive, and reading here regularly. This is my plan, and I will never drink again.

Welcome to SR Tomsson.

I have been sober for a little more than 10 weeks, mostly by the help of SR.

Welcome to SR. You can get sober and remain sober. Stick around and post, read and gain some support along the way.

I just finished Jason Vale's book. It attacks alcohol for what it is _ it has really helped the cravings pass for me. I am on Day 18. Welcome to SR!

My therapist suggested AA. I went to get him and my wife of my back. Best thing I ever did.
