How do you spend your sober sunday mornings?
One of the best things about being sober for me are the peaceful Sunday mornings
I woke up early and refreshed, caught up on the news on my iPad as I drank my morning coffee. It's raining like crazy here, but there's something very calming about it. I then went to the gym for a tough cardio workout and now I'm looking forward to enjoying the rest of my Sunday.
I hope everyone has a great sober Sunday!

Woke up fresh (The precious gift of sobriety). Make breaky for kids as wife at work today. Starting a monopoly game soon with the kids. Now I don't mind the dull weather in UK anymore. Loving the Sundays as I loved them in my teens.
I woke up I didn't come to.
Good coffee, The dogs, front porch, the Sunday news, beautiful crisp clear fall morning, geese honking in the background, trees changing and beautiful fall colors, staying quiet so I don't wake up my absolutely precious grandson, close to my higher power.
Content with who I am and overjoyed to be sober

Up early to feed my six dogs. Then I cooked breakfast. In a few minutes I'll get ready for church. Later, because it's raining here, we'll probably watch some DVDs in the afternoon, and the Redskins game tonight, with pizza!
A blessed day.
A blessed day.
Awake with a clear mind, the biggest difference from when I was a drinker. Sunday was awful- headaches, shakey hands, dry mouth, regrets, dreading going back to work. Now Sunday is great. I woke up early, have the whole day ahead of me and feel healthy and rested. Sober Sunday is one of the best perks of recovering.
cold wet Sunday morning.
Up at 7am, two bananas Pint of water then off to gym for 10k on treadmill press ups etc.
Home for bacon rolls coffee and the Sunday Telegraph
Peaceful and content .
Sundays when I was trapped in alcohell prison where spent suffering with anxiety , panic attacks and depression .

Not just Sundays were bad for me, but Mondays I was usually hungover too. I am always grateful on Sundays and Mondays for my recovery, because those were usually the worst days for me when drinking. I like to take a relaxing drive down a back road and just appreciate the scenery.
Best thing about sobriety is you can do whatever you want, so no two Sundays are the same for me. Coffee and work today, then helping prep for Thanksgiving dinner tonight.

Sundays are sleeping in late till 8 after the cat wakes me up at 6.
Make coffee, put on music from an archived indie radio show.
Internet: read news and sports...get on SR for an hour or two.
Set my fantasy league.
Today it is a gorgeous fall day...went outside and said hi to the neighbor.
Nothing grand....just peacefully living in the moment.

I "forced" myself to sleep in a bit as I will be up late. Had a cup of coffee and then I bussed it to the store, bought some items, made brownies for tonight's sober football gathering...about to meet for with my sponsee and her daughter lunch, then off to a friend's to wait for a ride to the game gathering.
I used to spend it alone, either trying to drink less so I could get to work or getting messed up since I wasn't working....and passing out, which I called "going to sleep" and then waking up to a disaster.....
Today is so much better!
