Hi 13 x x
SkyeSea... I took about one flat teaspoon with one spoon of honey and some water...mixed well together... It's a strong stuff...hence do the measure accordingly... With milk it would be same amount...it's impossible not to sleep after consuming Ganthoda Power...plus it's also good for digestion and rejuvenating nervous system...

Just a reminder that our medical advice rule extends to over the counter and herbal meds too - personal experience only please.

Any supplement should really be checked out with your usual Dr beforehand as no supplement is suitable for everyone and some herbal remedies may interact with other meds.

Well, promethazine is a drug against allergies which has a sedating effect. But if you have real sleeping problems, chances are low that you'll really get good sleep from it.

I understand the reluctance to give benzos, but there are alternative sleep medications that aren't from that class of drugs.

But what bugged me was that your doctor said that chances are that you will always be a crappy sleeper. From the moment I decided to get mental help, I have been reading all I could find about it and CBT really seems effective in getting people cured from insomnia.

That, combined with the fact that she only prescribed drugs and didn't even offer alternatives to address the problem made me come to the conclusion that she's a crappy doctor.

I'd look into therapies for insomnia. So many people have it, so there's a lot of experience treating it.

Anyway, just my thoughts on this.
