Drinking heavily for years, time to wake up

Hi all,

I've been binge drinking around 3 or 4 times a week for years. I go get 8 or 9 cans of 500ml 4% lager and sit at my pc alone and drink them before crashing in bed, heavy smoking goes hand in hand with it.

I have some mental problems ala depression and anxiety which go hand in hand with the drinking. I quit for 5 months last year and felt great.

Just want to be honest with myself in this thread. I have really isolated myself from society from drinking alone, its not a nice place. I've been drinking like this for around 6 years and my mental health has really suffered.

I have a bad relationship with alcohol and it stops here.

Today is day 1

Welcome CTL!

That's great you had the 5 months. You can now put that question is it better behind you. You know it is! Me too. I had a period before so I didn't need to think about that one. I had plenty to work without wondering about that.

You can do it! You life can be so much more. I'm excited for you. I know it's not easy but boy is it worth it.

Welcome aboard!
