500 days
500 days of continuous sobriety for me....
I was the one who used to post on SR when I first woke up on a Friday morning...then again at lunchtime...then once more from the car park before I went shopping. I needed you all to help me navigate the alcohol aisle. I did not think it was even possible for me to stay sober on a Friday.
I was the one who when I went out with friends used to nip off to the toilet to check my phone for messages of support from you all when I was offered drinks by my old crowd.
I was the one who when I couldn't sleep and was racked with anxiety at 2 am walked round my garden and posted for help from my Class of May 2012 class.
I can now go shopping and join friends socially. I sleep through the night. I handle stress and emotionally demanding situations without needing to drink or smoke. I drank for 31 years, and for the last 10 I drank every night with frequent blackouts. I was killing myself.
SR has been my lifeline. You have all helped me so much.

You have always been such a positive force and an inspiration here on SR for me. Your words have buoyed me through some dark times and days when I wanted to give up.
