Hello people =) First post
 

I am Eric I am from Dallas Tx and I am on day 7 of recovery. This is the longest ive been sober in a very long time. I feel great and still have temptations but I really want to stop this insanity cycle. I want to get back to making my music and living a normal life and feeling ALIVE again.. Anyways, Im here to support and maybe get some in return. I wish you all a blessed life and successful road to recovery. Feel free to ask me anything.

Welcome bigesoul. Congratulations on your seven days. You will feel greater in coming days. Temptations were normal for me in first couple of weeks.. It won't be long before they won't exist. I am day 39, 38 or may be 37 sober...It feels really good once you loose count of your sobriety days....you have come to the Mecca of sobriety. You will get a great support from the fellow people with similar and worst situation than you. I wish you all the best in your recovery...and congratulations once again for getting over the first week which is often the hardest.

Thanks everyone. I must say, It's been 10 days today. I feel better than I have in a long time. Thanks for all of your encouragement and positive vibes. I'm feeling really confident that this is the real thing. God bless you all and stay strong.

I'm glad you're here! I'm on day 5, and I have had urges and cravings too. But the best support I have found is sitting down, coming here, and talking it out until that urge fades away. Look forward to seeing you around :)

Thanks Jade. It's really tough because Im a DJ in Dallas and the scene is hard to be in in recovery. I'm actually thinking of not taking any gigs for a while so I can get straight. But kudos to you for you sobriety as well. We can do this!

hi bigesoul I am new to this site as well just joined today and am on day 17 of withdraws but am hangin in there....so far I have found this site to be helpful and have already met some very nice people......hang in there and with the help of this forum we can all get through this :c033:
