New to SR
Hi. I'm an alcoholic. If I pick up a drink I can't stop, I have a personality change and I black out. That's my truth. I can't drink on the truth. I have stayed sober on that truth for ten years. My hubby works away and I have a two year old so I am not getting to the number of meetings now that I would like to. I've decided to supplement my program with some online interaction with like minded people. The disease is progressive. So too, recovery is progressive. I'm loving that the way of "one alcoholic relating to another" is progressing with technology!
I am grateful to be sober and grateful for this opportunity to be active in my sobriety.

It's good to meet you Kitty! Congrats on your sober time - wise of you to seek some extra support. You found a wonderful place. 
I'm the same as you - once it's in my system anything can happen. I lead myself into danger and embarrassment every time. We don't need it! Glad to have you join us.
