Fresh air
I don't know what it is but fresh air seems to silence my AV. It had been raining this morning and part of the afternoon and my AV was whispering to me on and off. Now that the rain has stopped, I opened the windows and the smell of fresh fall rain has poured into the house and shut up my AV. Funny the power of nature on the mind sometimes. And yes, I realize that was a random thought to share

Random but true Even pre doggy, long walks really helped me early in my sobriety. It was like I had excess energy to burn or the anxiety just made it feel that way. I also developed an obsession with clouds. I never noticed them before when I was drinking but they are pretty x

An important part of each day for me is my dog walk. My two dogs love going for a walk, sniffing everything, and I enjoy being outside in the fresh air and watching them doing 'doggy' things. If the weather is bad we can't go and I really miss it.
