Trying again for a sober weekend. Currently on day 3. Feeling fantastic, and the anger and anxiety I felt on day one has cleared. I don't want to have another day 1.

Challenge will be tonight in an empty house, which is usually the trigger for lots of drinks and sitting in front of the TV in a stupor.

I need a plan to not crave the 5pm drinking today.

hi iommy. i am coping ok but i have not gone out since i decided to stop binge drinking, ireland has such a binge culture, i told a few of my friends about the reason why i want to stop and they just said sure they get like that every now and again aswell, i just feel i cant handle it anymore its making life miserable for me, so going do my best to stay off it but ill try one day at a time

Can't seem to find the usual sober weekend thread and I know I am going to need it. This will be my fourth sober weekend in a row. My plans right now are to complete my assignments, attend a job fair, spend time with my family, maybe hit the gym, and also just relax after a long and stressful week.

High School football tonight!!! Tomorrow I will put the veg garden to bed for the winter and then do some art.

I had one last weekend but I was a bit crazy with withdrawal symptoms.

I kicked my sober weekend off tonight on Friday by turning down a friend's invite to go to a pub for food and we went for pizza instead so there was less alcohol focus.

I stuck to soft drinks and came home thinking how much I enjoyed myself, enjoyed my time with my friend much more because I wasn't totally out of it and now I know I can wake up at a reasonable time tomorrow feeling fresh and hangover free!

Not only did I enjoy myself more but I feel pleasantly satisfied.

Hi all, it's Saturday morning in Australia. I'm starting my sober weekend today. I drank last night and I have a terrible hangover. Day 1 for me again after 3 sober weeks. I hope everyone has a fun weekend without alcohol

Having a friend over tomorrow who was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I am going to feed her lots of yummies!

I just finished my first sober Friday in over nine years!!! It was hard at times, but not as hard as I expected. I feel so relieved!!! I am going to take a nice hot shower and go to bed. Good night, and sweet lucid dreams and uninterrupted sleep for all!!!

Hi all!

Day 64 for me and have recently been struggling a bit. Need to stay strong this weekend and remember why I love being sober. Had a dream last night that I caved and drank. Was sooo upset and relieved when I woke up. Don't want that dream to come true!
