The 12th day Done , Day 12 , Someone told me early in that it was a process , so true. Another told me , to tame the obsession , my beast , " just keep throwing days at it ", I have , it works. Still another told me if nothing changes , nothing changes . For too long it went in one ear and out the other. The difference this time is I'm listening , I'm doing . I'm making the changes that'll change me , who I am. It needed doing. What took so long , I was in my own way Tr |
You're doing great! The tone of your post shows so much confidence. :HulaDance |
Congrats on 12 days!!!!! Awesome. |
You sound great, triky. Congrats on 12 days :) |
Right on Tr! Keep up the amazing work and congrats on 12 days! :You_Rock_ |
12 days. Be proud of that. Be REALLY proud of that! Tell yourself that you're proud of what you've done and tell day 13 it's going to be another sober day! I think that many of us have that inner chatter that keeps telling us that we're less than we are. Taming that voice, or beast, is a big step forward. Keep going, Hang in there, and ... 12 Days! Wonderful!!!!!! |

Well done Ricky. Sometimes it just all falls into place, not to say it's easy. |
Now this song is stuck in my head....."Oh, Riky, you're so fine......" Good job! :) |
If there is one piece of advice I can give it is: Find people with long-term sobriety and do what they do whether you want to or not. Our best thinking got us to where we were. It is time to do something dramatically different. We will never think our way out of our problem. Sobriety requires physical action. It could be aa it could be professional help, it could be going to some place where people don't drink, it could be all of the above. whatever it is it is not doing what you're done in the past. Stay sober 12 days is a huge accomplishment |
