thanks so much for all the love and support.
i'm off to my meeting soon - very nervous. but i can't sit back and wait for help to come to me - i need to seek it out and work at it.
please, please let this be helpful to anyone considering drinking again. i almost lost everything, including my life. i crave my daughter and will need to do a lot to regain our relationship. don't gamble or give in like i did. if my experience can help anyone i will be forever grateful.

Ippo, I'm so sorry to hear that stuff, but I'm glad to hear you are in one piece.
Myself, like many here, were deeply affected by your last, cryptic post about "moderation." In fact I often bumped your post, in the hopes that you might be deciding to put down the poison again.
It's worth it, like you say, for you and your daughter. Stay here and stay strong.

i just got back from my AA meeting. it just....clicked. mind blown. i'm going to try the other meetings local to me, but i felt so comfortable tonight.
i really, really didn't expect to feel this way. i'm the world's biggest cynic usually, but the relief i feel right now is incredible.
and the support here is, as always, amazing.
we can do this.

It's good to hear from you Ippo. I'm sorry it got to that point again and you had to go through all of that. It's great to hear you are focusing on yourself and going to meetings! I feel like meetings are full of people who didn't think they'd like going there...
