Trying
It is hard for some people to stop without significant support such as AA or treatment/counseling or a combination of. I'm on this site frequently throughout the day, I also sporadically attend AA meetings, I read a ton of recovery literature, I'm on depression medication, and I'm involved in counseling. Drinking for me was a symptom of much larger issues I have. That is why the counseling is important for me.

You haven't failed - you just haven't found your way yet. Stick around here and read and post - post and read and then repeat lol you have the key to your success you just need to take it out your pocket and use it.
My anti D pills did nothing until I quit drinking. The change after that was dramatic - in a couple of weeks my mood had improved dramatically, and then I understood that alcohol was making me mentally ill. It wasn't helping, it was the cause of most of my issues.
Give this sobriety and your medication a chance. You won't regret it. Drinking, on the other hand, always led to regret. I hate regret.
You deserve better than this, I know you do. So go get it, alliHK. Onward!

Another 'day 1' for me too! The longest I have been able to make is about 6 weeks. However, I am not giving up! I have learned from my "failures" and I know that I will get there. You will too allihk! The important thing is that you ARE trying! Just take it one day at a time.... Sometimes I even have to take it one minute at a time and that's okay too.
