Almost twenty days
Felt good today then met with a person who made me feel like an idiot. I am working on telling myself that I am a work in progress in recovery. Tomorrow is twenty days and I am proud of myself.

Yea my self worth does not depend on someone else thinking I am smart. This is the start of my new life in recovery, and I am glad my meds help me feel less depressed and negative. I am going to learn to love myself. I think I am losing some weight from not drinking, my skin looks clearer, and I feel less anxious. I love being sober.

ACheleus- I follow you closely as I am 20 days today and almost everything you utter I mimic in my own life! Congrats on 20 days. I personally still find myself in awe that I have actually made it this far. WAY TO GO!!!

Congratulations on 20 Days Acheleus.
I think you know inside that people who try to make others feel inferior are doing it to cover-up their own insecurities.
Ninety-percent of people are great.
The other ten-percent are spread out just enough so there are one or two everywhere to try and make things miserable for the rest of us no matter where we are.
Mine are my neighbors. Used to consider their BS as an excuse to drink. Now I find it a greater reason to stay sober.

What other people think of you or say about you is not YOUR problem. It is their problem. Let it go, do not allow these people space in your head. It will only annoy you if you let it.
I can relate as always very affected by what people thought of me due to low self worth,esteem and insecurity. since getting sober I've really worked on these areas.Takes practice but it works.Someone once said forgive the person who's annoyed you. I thought it crazy but tried it. It takes time but it works.Let it wash over your head,trust me you will feel better than let it eat away inside your head.
Resentments are the biggest sole cause ofpicking up again whether anger,hatred,envy -they're all resentments but the only person to suffer will be you.

Thinking about huge mistakes I made because of drinking. Sobriety is about facing the music, and I feel like I may have to call into work sick today, I am terrified of financial trouble and the broken family I wish I could get back. I see no hope in my future.
