Hi Keyweird, I'm so sorry for your news. You are an inspiration to everyone who is tempted to relapse through the traumas of life.
I agree with Melinda, you have the right to say to your sister (who is suffering too) that you want to see her but not if she is under the influence.
I have a sister like that, and her family has asked her not to call when she's been drinking.

keywierd,
The power of alcohol is so strong,it becomes a place to run to when bad news occurs. As many have said, you are an inspiration for staying sober during this trying time.
Your sister and family are still using alcohol as an escape.
It was not long ago that I did the same thing day after day.

I've found that it's best to look at things with eyes wide open, good or bad.
Prayers for you and your family. I hope that you can talk with your sister and set her feet on a better path.

So much love to you Key, my friend.
You are strong, you are brave, you have all of us, and God and hope and faith on your side.
We won't quit, and I know you won't either.
Whatever you need, we are here.
I'm proud of you, and in awe of your courage.

Sending you prayers and more strength and hope.
And all of my love,

Venus xx ♥

PS. Wishing you well for the chemo tomorrow ~ I know it's hard love.
Again, we are here for you. (((hugs)))

Keyweird, kudos to you for staying sober through this time!

Your sister was way out of line...if she can't remain sober in your presence, perhaps she should stay at home.

I wish you all the best...
