No matter what

Hi, I'm new back to SR and to sobriety. I am dedicated and passionate to finding recovery no matter what it may be. I have tried many different ways, AA being the main one. A bit of AVRT which I liked alot and also doing on my own and just quitting. I've never really had the resolve to stay stopped though and relapsed quite quickly. My addictions just strip me of everything and I'm fed up with having my life dictated by alcohol and cocaine. I am interested in SMART recovery but don't know much about it or where to begin. As far as I know there isn't any SMART meetings near me in Wembley, London.

I also live in a part of the world where there are no SMART Recovery meetings nearby. I joined my first SMART meeting online last night. I also ordered the SMART Recovery Handbook and have found the tools provided in it to be extremely helpful.

Found one

I've found a SMART recovery meeting nearby. Going to head along to it. I like different bit of different programs of recovery. I like the letting go of AA because I drive myself mental with worry. I like the AVRT of Rational Recovery because I am becoming quite aware the voice that want a drink and a drug is not of me. I am terrified to drink again. But on their own these things don't feel enough. But am I over complicating it???
But I'm going to check out SMART because I'm finally motivated enough to start being open minded and not believe one way is the right way.
