Nervous

Start my new job today, very nervous which is strange for me. Thought I was having a full blown panic attack last night. I am just trying to take deep breaths. I am way too old to feel this way! Maybe it is the fact I have not been in the work force for over two years. At least I have no desire to drink. Here goes nothing!

I just got back in the workforce two years ago, after a 15 year hiatus. I am so happy that I did! It has been such a fulfilling experience for me. Your nerves will go away and you will do great!!

It's a great day, LuLu. It's perfectly natural to feel nervous when starting anything new, and a new job us high up on that list.

Better to be nervous about starting over than to be nervous about your boss thinking about firing you for your alcoholic behavior.

It was fine. I think I came off as more confident than I really am. I work in the health insurance field and with all the changes happening it is mind boggling. I tried to keep up the best I could over the last two years. Went to lunch with a larger client and the boss, the boss seemed happy with how it went. Guess it is just a matter of getting comfortable. The other challenge will be learning the computer system as the company designed their own custom client data base. I went to my daughter's house for a few hours this evening and am exhausted, this working for a living again is tough! I also missed my dogs and they seem none too pleased with my long absence.

Thank you all for the support.

Oh, it was a great feeling to get home and get out of a skirt and suit jacket and into sweatpants and a hoodie!!!!!
