Day 3 on Meds ...
Checking in.
Crazy that it has already been 188 days sober. Half of a year. Wow!
I know a lot of you posted your encouragements when I was struggling miserably few weeks ago.
As I mentioned before, I told you I would check in.
Went to my Doctor on Tuesday, sat down with him and was honest. He put me on medication for antidepression and anxiety.
He said it would take up too 2 to 3 weeks to take effect however, I know it is much needed.
I just think back when I was very early in sobriety and my sponsor kept mentioning to me about going to see the doctor. I wish I would have listened but I am thankful to have a sponsor who does push me to become better, but never pushes me when I am not ready.
Thankful for all of you through your support and prayers.
Have a great night, and if you are reading this and are struggling no matter if you're 24 hours sober, 3 months, 6, 9, or past the year mark ... You can make it and you will. What I found out is this, you can have the entire world believe in you, say that you are going to make it, take it one day at a time; one moments at a time. This is great and enouraging however, If you do not believe in yourself, you will not last. Sobriety is worth the fight if you are personally willing to fight for it.
