The diagnosis is GRIM my friends
Keyweird , i am so sorry to hear your news.
In amongst all your angst , you seem to have it " together "
Great idea with the healthy eating etc to prolong your life , as this is proven.
I know the shock probably hasn't truly set in but you seem to have a good mindset.
You are an inspiration to all of us reading this and the dignity you have.
I am AMAZED. Your first thought wasn't alcohol. Congrats on that ;-)
What you do have is time . You haven't been just snatched away , which is a blessing.
You have time to spend with loved ones and they you .
You can say things to people that people often regret to do when snatched away.
I admire your courage and poignant post and for your honesty in telling it how it is.
You have touched me and many , many others who will read this.
I have seen some amazing things where i work and YOU are an amazing person.
I look forward to more posts from you and your journey xxxxx

I know at this point in my recovery I wouldn't be able to take this news without saying "what the hell, may as well drink!" So know and feel good that you are stronger than a lot of people. I have such a hard time dealing with even small speed bumps in the road of my life, I don't know if I could deal with this at this point. Congratulations to you for that, and hoping for a miracle for you.

I am inspired by your commitment to sobriety in spite of the news. I will remember your strength when life events go sour (and they will sometime) and draw on your beautiful example of staying sober no matter what. Thank you for that gift Key.

God bless you and be with during this deep deep time of need. I too am saddened by your news and prognosis. Live each moment with sober clarity and be proud and strong for as long as you are allowed. My greatest admiration in aa was for a gentleman who had been sober for 20 yrs and remained that way...all the way thru his cancer. His family was so proud of him and he was proud of himself. And me...I had the greatest respect and admiration for him...he passed a proud man! Good love...mags
