I hear a nice warm beer helps to hold off the hangover. I'm kidding, of course.

Lots of water and healthy food. And DON'T DRINK!

Also, remember how it feels the day after a drunk. Not at all pleasant.

So glad you're here and confronting this. I agree with some of the others. Live through the hangover and every time you want to drink thereafter remember it. Blackout drinking is a scary situation to be in. I found myself in problematic situations more time than I can count, many of which could have cost me my life.
Before you take that next drink just remember where it is going to lead you and hopefully you'll think twice.

You've come to a great place for support. Keep posting.

Ahh the death like hangover , yes I vowed I was done forever countless times when I was in this state only to feel better 4/5 days later and repeat. Do not do this .

You can do this, plenty of support help on these forums. Free yourself .

Time and time alone. See it through and remember how horrid it is.

If there was a cure someone would be filthy rich by now.

Thanks , because posts like yours make me know i am not missing anything at all except pain , sadness , sickness and guilt.

Hope you feel better today and come back to this post if you ever feel like indulging

Good luck xxxx

This is the key - but then again I don't know why I bother posting anything here. I take the time to post things and people just ignore it and do what they are going to do.

I'm pretty sure people aren't "ignoring" you, Jaylaa. Thanks for "taking time to post things." I think you may be missing the spirit a little bit, here.

hangover as a blessing

I really never suffered from many hangovers during years of heavy drinking
kind of wish that I would have
they may be considered a kind of body alarm (warning - bad for us)

sure sounds like your hangovers take the fun out of drinking for you
this may be a good thing ?
