Day 2

Day 2, Perfect! Still a little out of sorts as my brain adapts. Bed ridden for last 2 days. But as we know this is temporary and stark reminder. I am a father of 2 kids! There is no bleeping way I can do this anymore. They need a father not a drunk. Part of me thanks alcohol for bringing me to my knees....what took you so f***** long. All I can do is wait this out. Get healthy, clean this pig sty, empty bottle filled home. It's disgusting/embarrassing how I was living (scratch that, existing).....I know my mind is probably thinking, "hey man where's the poison"? It all up from here! I am proud but know I have a ways to go

Thanks for checking in, Ryan. I'm so glad you're doing ok.

My apartment was a disaster by the end. Vomit and blood all over my bed and the carpets. Rotting food in the fridge. Bottles and liquor store bags everywhere. I was living in squalor in a fancy downtown apartment.

I actually couldn't handle cleaning it up all by myself. Too much pain. So I shelled out a bit of cash to hire a cleaning crew. Surprised they didn't bring in the has-mat suits lol.

Now my place is livable again. I'm not ashamed to have people over anymore.

Just keep doing what you're doing.

You can do this! Besides quitting for myself and my health, my children deserve the best mom they can have. Just remember that for your kiddos as well! Sounds like you are heading in the right direction!
