What a weird coincidence! I have just returned from a music shop where I went to look at acoustic guitars! I didn't buy one, but I have one in mind for later next week. The money I have saved in a month not drinking will pay for it!

Enjoy playing!

Ah - I was looking a bit more down market. I have a classical guitar but my daughter has just taken up folk violin (she already plays cello) and I am going to learn some folk stuff on a steel string to accompany her.

Have fun!

New cybernetic rig, I mean computer to run new games etc. Eating well and rarer food too thanks to not wasting that money on booze and what comes with it.

I bet there's more. Sobriety is kind of like a very beneficial investment on a larger scale.

With the money I saved from not drinking, I could finally afford to get my baritone saxophone overhauled. Tower of Power, here I come! Yay!

I bought GTA 5 (not recommended for those early in recovery because it does have drinking and drug use) and am placing my order as we speak for the iPhone 5s.

I really need to restring my electric guitar. It's still stringless after a drunken fall where I used it to brace myself. Hope it still works!

Hey, great minds huh? Hope you get the guitar - been playing mine all day and best thing I've bought for ages!
The bike isn't new, but you wouldn't know - just need to get a gel seat (ahem)
