For Android; yea I got it :D But not sure about Apple .. If your on Android; search Sober Recovery in the Google Play Store :)

bridgeeboo2006 09-23-2013 03:38 AM

Yes. I've been looking into it. 99€....it's a bargain. :)
Thanks laroo...I was thinking the same thing since I've been checking in so often too. And it will especially b more accessible on my phone when I'm on the go.

bridgeeboo2006 09-23-2013 03:39 AM

lorelei 09-23-2013 03:40 AM

Its great, that way whenever we are out, feeling under pressure, we know our SR buds have got our back, and they are in our pocket with us ;)

Yea, gives me something to read when I am in a "sticky" situation. :)

foolsgold66 09-23-2013 06:06 AM

Appears to be a 'branded' version of Tapatalk, which I use for many other forums. No biggie at the cost, and I kind of like that I can keep my 'spot' in it while using tapatalk to read other forums.

mytimeforchange 09-23-2013 07:48 AM

Thank you just got it too!!! How handy.

BikerAcct 09-23-2013 05:36 PM

Woah, gonna go get this now!

Impurrfect 09-23-2013 05:37 PM

I don't have the app, but I do access SR through my android quite often. I never leave home without it:)

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

Dumb question

What's the difference between the app (iphone) and just using the browser on the phone ?

bridgeeboo2006 09-23-2013 05:59 PM

Ease and speed of access

So glad that I had the app when I was meeting up with a friend at a wing place. The urge was strong and something pretty stressful had just happened. I hadn't had a craving like that since I first quit.

I pulled out my Iphone, posted quickly, and then waited. It didn't take but a few moments to see responses and then my friend showed up. I had waited outside for her as there was no way I was going to go in there and get offered a drink.

This place saved me that day. I had everyone in my pocket screaming at me "Don't do it! You CAN do this!" Well, not really, but I could hear you all in my mind. The app is a must have when you're out and about!

This has almost completely replaced Facebook for me too.

I first saw the mention of a SR Iphone app in someone's signature. As an Android user, I searched the PlayStore for apps, and downloaded it there.

I love the app. Much faster and more responsive than the browser on my phone. That's a good thing for a couple of reasons. Makes SR more easily accessible, easy to track which threads I have read, and if I need a quick reminder or attitude adjustment, the site is "right there."

Even when I'm on my computer, I check in on the app instead, simply because the interface is so slick and the responsiveness so quick.

I completely agree. When I feel that my stream of consciousness about to make me give in to drinking, I use the app to blow my stream of consciousness away. I have found the constantly-updated experiences of everyone here an exceptional tool in maintaining my early days of sobriety...never had anything quite like this before....

And.................downloaded.

Was so tired of SR being so small on my iPhone browser. It made me feel like I needed reading glasses. And constantly zooming in and out was a pain.

The app is great!
