Alcohol destroys and kills people. Now that I've been sober for a while, I can see it did a lot more that I didn't even notice back then.
These documentaries, yeah, heavy stuff. But they do help to see the reality of it all. Very tragic.
To be honest, if I had to choose between smoking or drinking, I'd go for smoking. Fortunately I do neither...

I've been putting off watching this video. I watched the first few minutes before and as soon as I heard him to refer to his "puke bucket," I knew that was me. I had to turn it off.
But I finally got around to watching it. It's like watching myself on film. The cheap pints of vodka. Puking up blood. Not eating for days. My liver was so enlarged, the docs could see it protruding from my body. My liver panels were off the charts.
He had the same hip issue I am now suffering from because of my alcoholism.
I basically died during detox in the hospital but after a 2 day coma, I woke up.
I honestly have no idea how i'm still alive. But I'm not going back there. I know I won't wake up again.
I'm glad I watched this. I'm scared I'm going to have nightmares tonight, but I'm glad I watched this.
6 months sober on Saturday.
