New to community, and a thank you
Been reading here this week, decided to join.
Six days off alcohol entirely now after about 25 years of it. Last 15 were pretty heavy and progressively more self destructive.
It hasn't been easy so far, but it could be worse and I feel blessed to be getting through without some of the more dire symptoms I've been reading about. I really respect those folks for doing it.
Just wanted to say a blanket hello and thanks - even lurking and seeing some posts from people who are open about it has helped during a few patches already.
