Welcome back sleep!

About six weeks sober here. Something happened in the past week. I can finally sleep! First week sober was total insomnia. Next five weeks were sketchy. Now I can sleep. At will. Any hour. I could sleep around the clock. One question. What happened to dreaming?
Every day getting stronger.
Strength and power to all those with sobriety as their goal.
Feels pretty dang good!

Man I wish I could. I did the other night but it was drug induced (perscription mine). Seem I sleep in 10-15 minute batches. Really getting old.

That's a pretty nice reward SnowDawg isn't it? Congrats on your 6 weeks. You may start getting some weird dreams in the future.

Congrats on 6 weeks SnowDawg!

Not bragging, but I'll have six MONTHS tomorrow.

I had insomnia for a few months. Did not want to use prescription drugs (no offense Hypocritical). Found some good herbal teas and vitamins that helped.

Next couple of months have been full of sleep, sometimes too much. But it feels restful and healing.

The dreams will return. Some with more clarity and intensity than before.

Don't be surprised when you have your first "drinking" dream. Some seem very real. It is such a relief to wake up from one and not be hungover.

Yes it's good ! I now sleep for 5 hours solid without waking up, this may not sound like a lot to some, but 5 hours deep sleep with no waking up leaves me feeling great. I had 25 years of awful sleep , all down To drinking/ hangovers and then the restless anxiety panic attack nights between not binging and binging again, tragic.

All gone , now I sleep and it gets better and better the further I go sober

No offense taken. I've had klonopin for years and rarely take it. I did last Friday out of desperation for sleep. I do not want to substitute drugs for alcohol. Maybe in a few weeks my sleep pattern will improve.

Thats so awesome! I'm jealous!
I slept amazing yesterday but only because I was exhausted from work... or maybe my sleep is coming back too? I hope it does soon. It's so tough, so many people take sleep for granted. I don't care about using drugs anymore, I just want to sleeeeeeeep
