Now THIS is what I thought sobriety would feel like :)

I'm so excited. So so SO happy.

For the first time in my life (remember I started drinking to blackout at 15) I tried to run. Usually I walk kinda briskly. Like a 17 minute mile was my norm when I would drag my sorry hungover kiester off the couch and go for a walk. But today I felt fantastic. I haven't smoke or drank or benzoed for 44 days. My blood pressure was 112/75 and I felt ah-mazing.

Went to the track and started to run/walk. Not a 17 minute mile my friends. Not a 16 minute mile. Not even a 15 minute mile. This old mare was rocking her first 14 minute mile probably since I have been born !!

Month 1 goal was to just stop drinking vats of wine every night.
Month 2 was to lay off the cake and start to move again.

Half way through month 2 and I was flying like the wind.

Well maybe flying more like when you blow up a balloon and don't tie it off and let it go and it goes pffffftttttttttttttt all over the place until it falls on the ground all deflated and wrinkly but still....

Keep it up alpha!, running has really helped me get through cravings and clear my head, plus it makes you feel better and eventually start shedding pounds. I love it
