Secrets!!!!!
We are only as sick as our secrets!! I can remember so many many times when I tried to get clean, but failed at every attempt.
My secret was, I would go to meetings high as a kite, and say of course "I'm not high!!" And as all recovering addicts know, we can see a active addict a mile away. It wasn't until I practiced the first step with a sponsor. I was so powerless over my addiction, and that my live became, and was certainly unmanagable.
Then by the second step I knew I had a faith, a Faith I called GOD.
The second step is the key to Narcotics Anonymous, we came to believe that a power greater then ourselves, could restore us to sanity.
