3 days clean after 10 years drunk every night
Day 6: Without a drink.
I have just spent the last 3 hours looking at a glass of whiskey. I told myself, that I have gone nearly a week, what if I just had a little treat on a weekend. I poured the drink and put it on the table.
I just looked at it, thinking about everything. The past 6 days clean and sober, waking up feeling good not sick and so I just stared at it. It was like a life changing decision, I eventually stood up and poured the drink down the sink.
I have since made myself a cup of Chinese Jasmine Tea and I am pretty pleased with myself. This is getting easier, especially compared to the first few days.
6 days clean and sober. Tempted but NO. Abstained.

After I quit for around a month I went round to all my hiding places for my whisky bottles. I was so shocked at how many there were. I'd come clean to my partner then and she helped me get rid of them all.
It was liberating.
It was liberating.
