G'day everyone
G'day everyone
I'm new here, On day 2 after my recent relapse. I think this is my last chance before I lose everything. I have been putting off going to AA for too long now. I think it's my only way to keep sober. I did go into rehab in 2008 and managed to stay off it for just over 2 years.
I am from a family with a history of alcoholism, And recently lost my dad through this.
I plan to return to AA over the weekend, I feel it daunting at the thought of my first visit back. I know I can do it.
I plan to stick around, This seems an excellent recovery site, and plenty of people here.

Welcome. I had a strong desire to put off things that I was reluctant to do so my suggestion is to get to meetingS ASAP. Just about everyone at any meeting has been where you are and it's good to be among people who understand us in the flesh. As they say give it a 90 day try and if you don't like the results your misery is refunded. BE WELL
there are better days ahead!
welcome back to sobriety coming here and going to AA will remind you where drinking will take you and where staying sober will take you..... I think we all need that so we don't become complacent....
Good on you for starting again.. keep it going
