Messed up
Cute, it's good to see you posting about last night. You learned something new about yourself and its time to put it to use. Please stay on SR and let us know how you make out this time.
Hello CnG! Good for you for jumping right back on that sobriety horse. Three weeks is amazing and you should be proud of that. You had a slip. Now you know the consequences. Next time you find yourself in that situation, simply think the drink through. Think to yourself what mostly likely will happen if you have that one drink. Then think about how great you felt not drinking for 3 weeks. I hope you personally feel proud of your 3 week sobriety!
PS - I love your user name. Every time I see it, it makes me smile. It has such a happy ring to it!!

Yeah great job on the quick turnaround
sounds like you won't let the momentary setback become beast fodder, in the past I would have let any remorse or disappointment I 'felt' to be used against the idea that I could come back and regain resolve, sounds like you aren't going to let that happen
wish you well

Hey CnG ,
Nice that you survived and are back doing the do
I don't mind going out into londons gay old soho sometimes nowdays , bars and stuff don't really bother me , being in a bar gets boring rather than tempting nowdays , i still plan an escape just incase tho'
Keep on building a solid foundation in sobriety and i'm sure you'll be able to be sober where and when you want .
Bestwishes, m

Hi cute, yes don't go out for awhile. Avoid temptation until you feel stronger. We are here for you.
I also like Eminem. I think the best rhyme ever is when he sings "as we move towarda new world orda".
Very best to you cute. You can do this.

I am sober, permanently and unconditionally, not by ignoring or battling that urge to drink, but by recognizing the heck out of it. Push it to the front, turn the lights up, set up the microphones and sound system, all focus on the AV.
Separate your AV from all the tangle around it, whether it is fear, or anger, or frustration, anxiety, boredom, whatever. Cut it away and push it up on stage, front and center. This lets us see it for what it is - our addiction, our desire for pleasure and numbness, the buzz. These are thoughts, for heavens' sake, nothing more than thoughts, and thoughts that will kill us if we let them.
Recognize them, become aware of them without judgement or emotion. Then, they shrink, start to whimper and then dry up. Just like a bad comedian onstage who is dry and dying. Pathetic. Phhhhhhhht.

Recovery requires commitment. And commitment means even when we stumble and get right back up on that horse. Boring is actually the non productive life of self indulgence and lack of self inquiry/discipline.
So the horse of sobriety bucked you off. You got back on.

We love you Cute One. We know you're going to get free. Proud of you for acknowledging what happened and looking it square in the eye. You are going to triumph over that poison and have a wonderful life.
