I thought I could moderate
Hi Ima.
I was always shocked at my inability to control the amounts. I finally had to admit I never knew where it would take me. The last time I decided to have 'a glass' of wine I ended up in a 7-year tailspin after 3 yrs. sober. That experiment almost cost me my life. I agree with Mentium - for me it was less exhausting to just quit.

Over time I learned not to listen to myself in relation to the "just a couple". In the end its easier not to drink, full stop.
