Red face Newbie

Hi I am new to this website looking for support from people that know what I am going through as an addict. I am 14 days clean and hoping for more. I honestly don't know what to say but here I am trying to give and get support! As the saying goes "Two heads are better than one."

Hey there - welcome! 2 heads are better than one! I am 47 days today. I riding on the pink cloud and things are going well. I read something that really has helped me keep my life in perspective: How are we treating the world vs. how's the world treating us. We can't control how the world treats up - crap happens! But what can we do for others - there is freedom in that thought - Good Luck and Take Care

Welcome to SR

A lot of collective wisdom on this site. If you have any questions about what you're feeling and why, rest assured at least one of us has been through the same things and can offer some help. Stay strong.

Welcome, welcome, & welcome. you're not alone here. This is a place where you can speak your mind and let it out when you need to.

I'm an alcoholic and a drug addict and have been sober a little over five months. This forum has been a central part of my recovery. Without it ... I'm not sure where I'd be.

Thank you for your post and keep posting.

Welcome to SR!!! This was the first forum I'd ever been on, and I hate to admit it, but I lurked for a couple of years (got clean, relapsed, got clean...). It took me a while to navigate around here, all these different forums!! OMG, then I found out I could get what I needed to hear from several different forums?!?!

I'm a recovering crack addict, but also abused alcohol and opiates before crack brought me to my knees. I'm also a recovering codependent who wanted to "fix" my A (addict/alcoholic) friends and family.

If you have questions, just ask. The people here are so awesome, and it doesn't matter WHAT your DOC (drug (including alcohol) of choice) is, we all have similarities. We're like a really big family, so welcome to the family!!

OH, and congratulations on 14 days!!!!

Hugs and prayers,

Amy
