Gruff-I'm proud of you too! That kind of thing can be rough but in this crazy world I guess we need to be prepared. very, very awesome.

Why do people have to do that??! I've seen similar things and it just astounds me.

Good for you though Gruff. Nice that your wife is proud of you!

Hi Guys, I'm in! Sorry I missed it last weekend, was away at the MD shore for a long weekend with friends. Still sober and going strong. Tomorrow marks seven months for me. These weekend threads have been a huge, huge part of that---thank you Ken and everyone else here for this wonderful gift of support and encouragement!

Cold in Philadelphia tonight but I'm loving it. Snuggling with my friend's cats and a cup of hot tea. The "me" of seven months ago would have been passed out by now or at least well on the way. Sobriety is good and so worth reaching for and fighting for with everything you've got.

Stay strong Lovelies and see you all here later!

Hey Weekenders,
(**ring * ring**) I'm in too. Went to a very nice SR chat meeting tonight. Unfortunately, work will overspill it's banks in to the weekend. I'll have to put in around 6 yours somehow. Beyond that, it's helping x look at houses again. It seems bizarre, but it's been a very positive thing for us to do together. These experiences remind me that we are still close friends and that we can help each other without resentment creeping in.

Have a peaceful and sober weekend my friends.

Yours,
Cas

Hey lommy ,
you're never alone when you got the whole of SR rootin' for ya . Maybe do something nice for yourself or someone else ?

Helping other people takes me out of my own ideas and problems sometimes and can turn a frowny day into a happier one .

*ring ring* @ festiva

*ring ring* @ everyone ,
Saturday morning here in london , have plans to krank up the guitar later and get loud and rock out some heavy tunes and play with them in logic , music has a life of it's own though so i might just end up doing some rythms or dancy stuff ... or maybe just watching some will hay or arthur askey films snuggled up seeing as how it's gray outside

Bestwishes, m

Morning everyone! Sorry I fell off last night. Was watching tv and fell asleep. So I missed checking in. Up early.

Hey cas... Yes I am heading to the city today. Street fair time and there are lots. Low humidity and perfect sunny day for it. I cannot wait for good street food. The smells.... Sausage and pepper sandwich is in order I think! Also a good long walk around town to burn it off. Lol

Hope everyone is doing well. This thread is for everyone... Missed last night? Then stay with us today!

Next week this time I will have gone on my interview up north. I cannot wait.

K

Happy Sober Saturday! Had a quiet night at home last night and went to bed early. It feels good to be up this morning because I slept rather then up early worrying what I did the night before! It's amazing after almost 10 months my weekend mornings are still precious and I'm grateful for them filled with peace and serenity vs. chaos and despair. No big plans today; maybe grocery shopping, reading, a nap, and general chore stuff.

Fancy... The Big one in little Italy has started. Also planning to go to Washington square to listen to the musians play. Some really good stuff. Street performers as well. They usually have this guy who brings a piano to the park on wheels and he plays. They are all spaced so you can go between them and listen to all kinds of music.

The market should have good Kirby's. I want to make bread and butter pickles this weekend. Need to stay busy!

Thanks soberC.... I am too. Spoke to a friend at the company. She know the other friend who wants me there. Told her to tell him to make me an offer. Yah!

mad bird glad the weather is glorious in your part of the world, in London it's dreary, but then again it's London. A little rain won't dampen my sober spirits though
