Day 15. Yay!
Day 15. Yay!
I drank heavily for 34 years and I am celebrating Day 15 today. In some ways it has been easier than I had anticipated but in some ways it has been an exhausting struggle. I go to bed early each night drained from the effort.
I still feel like I am in a fog but I am walking/running every day, eating mostly fruits and vegetables, and reflecting on my urges as they come and go.
Prior to stopping, my blood pressure was dangerously high, around 160/130. This morning it was 116/84. I'll see my physician next month for a complete physical including liver function.
My wife has been very supportive, and SR has been both the motivation for me to stop drinking and my daily companion these past two weeks. Thank you to all who post on this site, you inspire others without ever knowing it.
