newbie
I joined Friday night and also am looking to connect with other Christians. There is a Christian group, but I think you have to make 10 posts to join. I'm getting close.
I already love the support and encouragement from this site.

Welcome to SR Alvina!! It took me a while, when I first came here (admission - I lurked for about 2 years before signing on) to sort of figure out the other forums.
There are so many variations of recovery, for both addicts/alcoholics (A's) and family members of them, but I do think SR has the all covered.
I am a Christian, but I have many friends who are not. I learned to listen for the similarities, and "take what you need, leave the rest" but it did take a while.
I guess I'm saying...keep reading and posting. I found out I fit in all KINDS of forums, but that's okay. I get support wherever I go because I'm open to new things. Never knew about native American beliefs, nor Buddhism, but I learned it from here and it has helped me. I found out it doesn't interfere with my Christian beliefs because I've learned to take what I need and darned if it hasn't worked.
Hugs and prayers,
Amy
