Hello all
Hi AmMe. I'm really glad you came back to give this another try. It sounds like you're fed up with the way things are.
That's the hard part - convincing ourselves we don't need that stuff to cope. It doesn't help make anything easier or better. I finally figured out it had taken all the joy out of my life, plus it was exhausting to try & control what I drank. It just wasn't worth it anymore. I'm glad you've come to that conclusion. I hope you'll keep posting. We know you can do this.

AA is one of the most important ways to stop on the way to sobriety. But, it is not for me. At least at this time. I have seen it work for many people...but I am not sold...I am already obsessive compulsive.....
