Mecanix...you are wonderful. Your posts here are always thoughtful and encouraging. I am so glad that you took your life back two years ago and that you are living authentically. Best to you always xo
SO proud of you mecanix. That was a wonderful post & will be truly helpful to those just starting out, filled with misery and hopelessness. You're living proof we can cast aside the old ways and reach out for a new life. I commend you!

I did not mean to offend or break your calm and I am definitely not proud. I am very aware that alcoholism is disgusting etc. and would not have quit if I didn't realize the damage...I was merely curious because I am shocked that I could drink that much for so long and honestly did not think at one time that 2 bottles was a lot! That's all. I know it was not the point...I apologize!! Sometimes in meetings it breaks the ice a little to admit just how much we really drank!

So no congrats from me...only a great big THANK YOU! Thank you for this post and all the others...for your presence in this community and for being a seasoned hand to hold onto. Where would any of us be without the ones before us breaking trail..who stop and pause along the way to look back and say 'C'mon up ahead...all is well"...like you did today!

Everybody is in a different place as to how they understand addiction and alcoholism. Some are very wise, some just starting to learn.
Everybody is a different point on their journey to be sober.
Some have just started and some are well travelled.
I hope your calm has been found and you are back in your happy place?!
Wishing you the best xxxx

I was going to post the normal "CONGRATS!" on this thread (which is still in order of course), but then I saw it was a Mecanix post and thought....I'd better read what this chap has to say. And, without fail, you've rewarded us once again.
Thanks much for everything. People like you are what make this board worthwhile, at least for me. I often get a lot out of your thoughts and musings. I like how you just post what you think, instead of what you think people want to hear. It's fun to look inside your brain every once in a while. You're a gem, pal. Job well done. It's easy to see these past two years have treated you well.
