I am surrendering
I am surrendering
I am starting to come to terms that I can't fight alcohol and surrendering that it is out of my control.
I feel okay and had lots of orange juice to help the witching hour.
Today was a good day. Took my kids to the pool, watched my daughter ride her new bike, had a good tennis match. Another match tomorrow. Told my parents, in laws, brother and a few friends that I am alcoholic. Some were surprised.
Tomorrow is my first meeting and under the wing of an addict/alcoholic that has been sober 25years. Going to get a sponsor and work the steps.
I am not focusing on my wife or my marriage but on fixing me! The first step seems to be the resolve that I am powerless over my addictions. This is tough for an OCD control freak that has been a highly functional alcoholic but coming to terms.
Best to all out there and thanks for the support and advice for those that have commented.
