Hello everyone,

I just ha my first week sober in almost 5 years and I have to say it feels great. I will admit though, this has been the hardest day so far. Since I woke up this morning I hae been feeling very depressed and was very close to talking myself into going to get booze like I usually would. Even worst, a big group of my cloest friends and family went out to the bar, which didn't help at all. But I am sitting here now in a much better mood and am very happy that I made it through this tough day!

And I'm so glad your feeling better - it's gotta be the hardest thing to stay sober when you get depressed - I'm exactly the same where that's concerned. You done really well. Be proud

For me, I just felt better and better as time went in. I'm willing to bet it will be the same for you the longer you stay sober. Keep it up!
