A toast to the new guy!

After a lifetime of daily blackouts and waking up still tipsy in the morning, I have chosen to stop drinking. I am not the kind of person who goes to meetings, so this website will be my virtual church basement and I will pull up my virtual folding chair.
Today is day four.
I will not drink today.

Welcome Ornithology!

Me too! I said the same thing except I was open to doing anything that first month. Even duc taping my hands together and super gluing my lips to the wall if necessary.

Good news was for me I didn't have to do that. SR got me through it. Now they are helping me rebuild.

You can do it! Pull up your virtual chair and join the group!

Hello Ornithology
This is a great site, it has been very welcoming and helpful for me.
Look around all the forums, loads of good information and ideas for staying quit.
Certainly helped me break through my crow epistemology , that part that could not distinguish between 1,2,3, many lol, couldn't help myself there

Welcome, O. My 4th day as well. My longest stretch of sobriety in 20 years. And my first serious attempt to quit. Congratulations and good luck. I am right there with you.
