Peace in sobriety..
 
It just come over me an amazing sense of peace and happiness.... If this is what I have to look forward too in sobriety I may become an soberaholic....

Me too. It didn't happen overnight, but I definately have a sense of peace and contentment that I never found when I was drinking.

Yes, I've had that many times now. It just sort of washes over you, like being cleansed from the inside out. Even Chardonnay couldn't manage to do it quite like that before! :c015:

Great Post, Lion!! Not sure how far along you are. Today is day 9 for me. I already feel great. My ultimate goal is a peaceful me and a peaceful life. And I love your term" sober-aholic!! Thanks for posting!!!

Me too! It is hard to describe but it is there. If I knew that I would feel that way just by being sober I would have done it sooner. It isn't constant but I have these moments of pure contentment. I never ever felt content when I was drinking, even for a second. I might have thought that having the first drink of the day would have made me feel happy but it was more like just scratching an itch, and who wants to be all itchy! x
