9 hours of alcohol free sleep :-)

Wow - what a feeling. There is almost this euphoric feeling about it.

Been more than a decade since I've had a sleep like this.

Even with holes in my belly (emergency appendectomy) I feel great.

I'm not crazy enough to think "I've got this thing" but I know one thing...

"I've got this thing today".

Looking forward to a restful day and another great night sleep.

I think being able to take some time off work has done wonders. Something I never would have considered in the past.

I feel for those who are struggling and hope everyone finds the strength they need for today!!!

That's great Bob - really pleased for you :)

I agree Bob--stress at work or just work in of itself can be a trigger to drink. Taking time off work and getting good nights rest is a good idea to help you build resolve against relapsing.

Bob, I LOVE "I got this thing today." I'm totally stealing it and writing it inside the front cover of my journal, where I keep those kinds of pep-talky things. Keep up the good work!

Wisconsin,
I second that, it's a great saying, would make a great bumper sticker!

I slept well last night for the first time in awhile. Day 6 for me.
