Reading back over these beautiful posts, it occurs to me that maybe sometimes we teachers are so busy 'giving' to all our students, that we forget to fill up our own emotional bank accounts. Maybe our accounts were overdrawn, and we were trying to fill them back up with alcohol?? ( still trying to make sense of it all ).
