Acquaintance Shot
Not sure what forum to put this...
Yesterday a woman whom I knew when working with her twenty years a go in food service was shot at work.
Many years later when I moved to a new city I re-acquainted with her just as a clerk and me shopping.
All of the facts haven't come out but another clerk approached her and shot her in the stomach.
She has survived. The shooter was arrested with no further incident.
Several years a go when I met back up with her...she didn't remember me until I made small conversation.
It freaked me out when I saw it on national news (because of the big name box store)....instead of local news.
Just wanted to share....I am more than 100th removed from the story....
Just talking with her...her putting change in my hand...handling my purchases...made it more personal...again I'm sure with the hundreds she helped daily.
