This was actually one is the things I tried to get to motivate me to give up in the past but just wasn't big enough i guess. But it's a nice side effect like losing the beer belly. I've saved £45 so far in my 5 days. I'm going to work out a proper average tonight per day in the long run.

What a great question! Here in the US, where I was drinking up to 2 BIG bottles of wine in a day ($15US each) - that's $30 each day x 5 days.....HOLY SH*T!!! That's $150 so far!

Lets see… I spent about $60 a week on pot alone. Add in the nightly trips to the bar and I'd guess in the last 2 weeks I've saved about $300!

I would down at least 2 1.75ml bottles of good vodka a week. So that was easily $80. Plus whatever else I would buy and then my trips to the bar.

I have been sober 4 months so I am at minimum $1400 ahead.
