New here

Hi I'm new around here. I joined because I've seen several threads I want to participate in but I wanted to introduce myself first.

Addicted to alcohol and marijuana - I've tried to quit drinking so many times I can't keep track. This time my last drunk, cause I never had just one drink, was only 10 days ago. I'm still experiencing withdrawals like sweating a lot and trouble sleeping. I've been through this before so I know what to expect, but that doesn't make the shakes go away any faster.

Last time I cut alcohol from my diet I did not quit pot, even though I knew I was lying when I said I was "sober" cause all that really meant was "not drunk". I loved smoking pot. I never wanted to quit before, but I'm doing it this time and I must be experiencing withdrawals from weed too.

The difference between this time and the last time, aside from the pot, is that I know these physical discomforts will end. Last time I felt like I lost my best friend, but this time I'm ready to fight the AV.

Welcome

Hi Bookmaven,

I also joined today. Hang in there as the withdrawal side effects do get better. Plus you've got 10 days under your belt already. Don't give that up!
