MTD

I have been without a drink for ten days now and I have to say today has scared the drunk out of me!! I was feeling okay (not normal because I was used to drinking every night) and out of the blue I started shaking and felt disoriented!! Went back to work and started feeling like I was out of balance felt like if was leaning to the side!! This went on for a few hours and I thought my mind and body are fighting to get back normal I really must have done great damage. SCARY!!! Did anyone have reactions like these after being sober for a week or so?

My mind definately wasn't there, some days I really felt out of it and I had the shakes really bad. In fact I had them for weeks. It will get better. If you are concerned about it, don't hesitate to see your doctor.

I always start to cave around 9-13 days because I feel so awful. Yes, I'm at day 8 and has the exact same thing happen to me today.

Sounds quite normal for early recovery. See your doctor if it persists or you're really concerned about it.

I think any kind of disorientation, along with shaking & loss of balance, really needs someone to have a look at you.

It may be nothing, but it's normal and it is best to be safe.
