Another sober evening here in Chicago USA. A little rain this afternoon. I got out fairly early and traveled on the train, stopped at a cafe, a park, even went to get an ice cream cone after lunch. Some good moments, glad I was sober enough to appreciate them. Good evening all!

And it was going so well............
Well it isn't now. Just got very frustrated and picked up. I'm not sure I can ever do this. Almost had 1 week, again..........
I know what needs 2 change and happen. Maybe I will try agn nxt wkend?

Get up tomorrow and try again. Be back to Day 5 at the start of next weekend. You can do this!

Thanks for asking TR. Its just my family issues. Son, grndkids living here and disrespecting me and all I do for them! Then I get shot down because they have problems with what I do or say. My sons gf hates me. She's got 2 kids from anthr relatnshp, we have 2 grndkids with them. They have been here on and off for years. She will not work. She's a sorry ass mother 2. Most days, I feed and watch the kids. Then when I do anythng 4 the othr kids, she gets all pissy 2 me! Starts yelling and acting out. She has even tried 2 get in 2 fights with me, because we just don't get along. Bottom line is, they need 2 move. They r a really big part of my problem now. They trigger me, my hub doesn't or will not have my back on these issues. Its just a freakin mess.

Thnks Tr, yes the grndkids mean so much 2 me. I don't have it all figured out jst yet, but I'm still gnna keep on trying. That's the least I can do.

hi raja, I'm so sorry to hear about your family stressors. Sounds like you are just trying to do the best you can by your grandkids. Yup, that GF would trigger anyone. Do you have anyone you can talk to face to face about this? I'm thinking maybe alanon or a therapist. Someone who can help you build boundaries with these people. Wishing you strength. Please come hang out with us next weekend and post in the mean time.
