AA Drama
I am almost 7 months sober and have been going to the same AA home group from the beginning.
I'm so disappointed that there is so much drama at my AA home group. It is a club so it is open many hours of the day with many meetings. Therefore, a lot of people hang out there because it is safe and they have nowhere else to go.
This past weekend I went to a BBQ with some of the women from the group. The next thing I know I'm hearing all about what was talked about that evening from others who weren't even there. I was told to "watch my back."
All I want to do is be among a good fellowship, work my program and stay sober. Is this the norm for AA groups? I certainly hope not.

Or........
maybe it's time to start your own group, newcomers are the most important members of any group. But by now you should have met a few oldtimers that want less drama.
We have a group similar to the one you described, I don't go there anymore. And at my homegroup, during a business meeting, I announced I would no longer participate if we couldn't go without drama amongst our trusted servants.
All is good.
Be Well,
Larry
