48 hours and counting

Hello. This is my first time posting here. I went to treatment in April 2012, and stayed clean for about 4 months. I started using opiates again once a month with no problem. Yeah right. Slowly I found myself doctor shopping again. The doctors were happy to help. Anyway, not having too many physical symptoms. The obsession to use is what's getting to me. Thanks for your time.

Welcome Rick! SR is a great place for support. Do you have a recovery plan?

Right now just white knuckles. My dad starts chemo tomorrow, so I'm going with him. I have a full time job, wife, and two beautiful girls. Got to tough this out. I think once I'm passed today, I'll be fine. Just here at work right now.

I've been through this before, I just don't remember it like this. My first time was much different. I will make it though. Just have to get rid of the obsession to use.

It will be 12 cycles of chemo. It's stage IV colon cancer with lung mets. Not a good situation.

But yeah, I plan on going with him. Sorry about not typing this all together. Brain is a touch scattered.
